What we collect
When you sign up for updates, we keep your email address and the date you signed up.
When you use the contact form, we keep your name, email address, message and the time you sent it.
When you send a form, your IP address is used to stop a single sender flooding it. We don’t store it with your submission.
When you visit, we count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It records the page, the site that referred you, your country, browser, operating system and device type, whether a form was sent (never what was in it), and how much of the teaser video was played. It sets no cookies. To tell visits apart, it uses a code made from your request that resets every day, and it can’t identify you or follow you across days or across other sites.
The site has no advertising and no tracking cookies, and it serves its own fonts. Our hosting providers keep ordinary server logs, including IP addresses, for a short time to keep the site running.
What we use it for
We use visit counts to see which pages people read and where they came from. We use your email address to answer your message and, if you signed up, to send news about Studio 3e8 and the Mesa 1, including our Kickstarter. Every update email has an unsubscribe link. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who handles it for us
A few services store or carry this information on our behalf. None may use it for anything else:
- Vercel hosts the website, receives the forms and counts visits.
- Cloudflare stores submissions and runs the abuse protection.
- Google Workspace holds a copy of submissions in a spreadsheet our team reads.
- Resend delivers the notification emails we receive about new submissions.
These services may process data in the United States.
The social media icons link to our pages on LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok and Bluesky. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep sign-ups until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We keep messages for as long as the conversation needs them. You can ask us to delete either at any time.
Your choices
Email contact@studio3e8.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to stop hearing from us. We’ll do it within 30 days. If you live in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you live in California, you have the same rights to know and delete, and we don’t sell or share personal information.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
